SPIRITUAL ALZHEIMER

Robin Williams’ interview with David Letterman at the Late Show on November 30, 2009 about Rio winning as the 2014 City Host of the World Cup over Chicago created a fuss, at least in Rio. The comments were terrible indeed. After all “50 strippers and a pound of blow” to compete with Michelle Obama and Oprah wouldn´t buy a thing, and wouldn´t do FIFA any good, not even give a laugh out of it. But it surely enough cost him his life! He became so depressed of having to apologize about it and his apologetic words didn´t have any effect after all.

Some strange coincidences in Robin Williams death though. His death on August 11, 2014 in a full moon had people perplexed. Two days later, day 13 and the candidate for the Presidential Elections in Brazil, Eduardo Campos died on a plane crash, at 13:13 (i.e. one pm and thirteen minutes; in Brazil we use to count time in a round until 23:59 to then go back to zero). Again some considered it a well planned plane “Accident”.

The British BBC3 channel was shocked when they heard about Williams´ death since they had just aired an episode of the American adult animated sitcom Family Guy showing him in many facets, and then in the end he is so overwhelmed by all his personae that he tried to kill himself.

In the movie What Dreams May Come where the character who played his wife had committed suicide he goes to the doors of hell to go try finding her. Then when he did die he encounters his heavenly friend saying to him, “what´s the point of living until you are sixty “free” for eternity”.

He died at sixty-three.

No wonder he was a controlled man. In the movie Bicentennial Man he was a robot, in Hook off the hook he was Peter Pan, a man who didn´t want to grow up, and in Aladdin he was a slave genius, but then there he finally got his freedom, although he was so happy that he didn´t know what to do with it at first.

A cartoon showing him as many characters, manipulating him to the bones, blowing his mind up, all that sounds like a creepy satirical way of making someone want to dig a hole and bury himself on it. But more manipulating than that it was to make a whole story happening before it did actually happen and showing it off in our faces.

There is an episode from The Simpsons which aired where they predicted that Germany would win the World Cup in Brazil, after Homer Simpson as the judge of the last game didn´t comply with the organized crime that tried to manipulate him into making Brazil win. So it was still March when they aired it saying that Germany would become the champion over Brazil, overshadowing so many years of glory for Brazilian craziness for soccer. And then they depicted the whole cheerful spectators in Brazil.

“They never saw Brazilians so depressed!” the narrator says.
